Sandra Mauro

Sandra Mauro changed careers in 2012 to follow her passion of natural health and completed her studies in 2015 graduating with a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture from the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Markham, Ontario. In addition to her college academic studies and clinical training, Sandra worked a 3-year internship alongside TCM Practitioner and Acupuncturist – Lorie Davey of Peterborough, Ontario.

Sandra is a member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Association of Ontario (CTCMPAO) as well as The Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Association of Canada (CMAAC) National and Nova Scotia.  She served on the Board of Directors as Director of Public Relations for CMAAC-NS from 2017-2019.

Sandra began her career as an Acupuncturist in Nova Scotia, March of 2016, where she ran a general practise in various multi-disciplinary clinics, such as Chiropractic, Sports and Wellness, Aesthetic Laser clinic and a University based medical clinic.

Sandra has experience treating patients with a wide variety of health conditions, some include;

back, neck, shoulder, hip and knee pain, fertility issues, nausea, morning sickness, chronic and acute pain, headaches, digestive issues, joint pain, asthma, allergies, sinus issues, insomnia, menstrual issues, menopausal symptoms, osteoarthritis, depression and anxiety, PTSD, immune boosting and preventative care.

Sandra has experience with many tools of Traditional Chinese Medicine such as Cupping, heat therapy, Electro-acupuncture, Acupressure, E-Stim and laser, Ear Acupuncture, Moxa, Tui Na and Gua Sha.


Sandra’s commitment to continuously learning has resulted in numerous certifications in holistic health modalities such as Cosmetic Acupuncture, Hot Stone Therapy, Aroma therapy, Hatha Yoga Instructor, Yoga for Golfers Instructor, Medical Qigong Therapy, Shiatsu, Chinese Medicinal Massage (WHM) and Chinese Medicine Nutrition.

Sandra is happy to be back in her hometown of Peterborough and looks forward to serving the community and helping others discover the benefits of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in their own healing journey.
